Dr. Debbie Goya has been in Private family practice since 1999, with Dr. Janis Mayeda in Torrance, CA. She enjoys one of the best benefits of having private practice: the ability to make her schedule and having the flexibility to spend time with her family!
Dr. Goya graduated from CSULB with her degree in Business Admin. and Marketing in 1987 and she received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992, graduating with honors. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa and receipient of the Dr. Herbert McCracken Dixon Scholarship. She currently is a member of AOA-PAC, AOA, and COA. Dr. Goya has been married for 13 years, and together have three wonderful boys -ages 12, 10 and 5 years old.
When not practicing, Dr. Goya has a passion for taking in lost or homeless dogs. She is the proud owner of four dogs; three were adopted from a local shelter. Dr. Goya feels that the greatest reward is uniting lost pets with their owners. She also enjoys design and crafts as well as working in the garden. Dr. Goya is particularly passionate about saving the environment, and helping to teach kids how to conserve and recycle!
