Dat's service puppy
Dr. Dat Do has
been dedicated to serving the South Bay Community for 6 years. In addition to
his optometric degree from the Illinois College of Optomery, he did an
additional fellowship year in ocular pathology and refractive surgery at the
Omni Eye Services. His broad optometric experience includes his current
position as a Clinical Adjunct Professor at Southern California College of
Optometry. Prior to joining the South Bay Optometric Society, Dr. Do was the
Clinical Director at the TLC
Laser Eye
Center (formerly Pacific Laser Eye Center) and a Clinical Instructor at
Omni Eye Services. He is a member of the American Academy
of Optometry AAO and regularly contributes to various AAO-sponsored eye care
journals and presentations and lectured in the area of co-management of
refractive surgery, glaucoma and dry eye.
Aside from regular optometric duties, Dr. Do has been involved in volunteering
eye care in Peru
and Vietnam.
In his spare time, he enjoys waterskiing, snowboarding, rock climbing and
training for the marathons. Currently he is involved in raising and training
Damita, an assistance dog, for Canine Companion for Independence.
