Dr. Gene Chang functions as the membership chair for SBOS.  In this capacity, he coordinates all correspondence between the membership, and initiates new members into the society.

Dr. Chang earned his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, in 2003.  He continued his experience and education during his residency at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in West Los Angeles thru 2004.  Dr. Chang also has a B.S. in Biology from the University of California at Irvine.

When he's not helping patients with their vision health, he enjoys playing basketball and roller hockey with friends.  You'll also find him on the golf course, and snowboarding in the winter.  

Fun fact: when Dr. Chang was 8 years old, he interviewed with Steven Spielberg for the part of "Shortround" in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom."
