Hi Doctors!

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that Membership Recruitment months are coming up.  As a society, we want you to make a big push to invite your friends to join COA.  Remind them that for the cost of LESS THAN ONE typical patient a month, they can receive all the benefits the COA has to offer.  If you need any help coming up with good selling points to your friends, please contact me for more information.

In regard to recruitment, please be aware of the following incentives to yourself!

1.       For any non-member that you can personally sign up for the COA during the membership awareness months, you will receive a $50 Amazon.com gift card.  (This applies to those non-members that have been out of school for 5 years or more.)  They can register online at coavision.org, just make sure they have your name and license number on the top of their application.

2.       If you are one of the top 3 recruiters for the year, you will receive your COA dues for FREE next year.

3.       Our local society dinner meeting in October is going to be our MEMBERSHIP AWARENESS meeting and membership drive.  You can bring a non-COA doctor to the meeting as your guest for the COA-member price.   AND, for any non-member you bring to the dinner, you will receive a raffle ticket for a GREAT prize.  Bring 3 or more friends and you will receive extra tickets.

4.       Another tool you can use to recruit new members is by inviting them to lunch and personally asking them to join the COA.  The South Bay Optometric Society will reimburse you up to $40 for lunch/dinner with a non-COA doctor to help in your recruitment efforts.  You will need to make sure to include the name of your friend on the back of your receipt and submit it to Nancy Imamoto for reimbursement.  Please contact one of the board members for any questions regarding this program.  (Only one receipt per non-member is allowed.)

Thank you so much for your hard work and continued efforts in making the COA a priority.  I’m excited to be working as the membership chair for the society this year and look forward to continuing to serve you.  Please let me know if there is anything you need to help you in your efforts.

Sincerely,

Amy Jo Calder, OD
